【改造OK】Claude Codeの動きや画面を、自分好みに書き換えられる「mods」が登場🧩 Anthropicが、AIコーディングツール「Claude Code」を自分好みに作り替えられる「mods」を発表しました。modは、Claude Codeの動き方を変える小さな関数で、プログラミング言語のTypeScriptで書きます。ふるまいの変更、画面の追加、標準機能の差し替えができ、書くのも、Claude自身に頼んで作らせるのもOKです。ターミナル版とデスクトップアプリで使えます。 作例を3つ 🌦 Token Weather：AIが一度に覚えておける量があとどれだけ埋まっているかを予報し、直近12回のやり取りを折れ線で表示 🛡 Blast Radius：ファイルを丸ごと消すコマンドや強制的な巻き戻しなど、危険な操作を実行前に止めて、何に影響するかを横の画面に表示 🎬 Replay Theater：1回のやり取りで行った全ファイルの編集を記録し、「/replay」で変更点を1つずつ再生 これまでの拡張の仕組みでは、画面を描いたり、標準機能を置き換えたりはできませんでした。標準の差分表示「/diff」はすでにmodになり、9月に発表したAGENTS.md対応もmodで作られたそうです。今後も標準機能を順次modに移し、小さな核だけを残す構想が語られています。 安全面の注意 modは、Claude Codeと同じ権限で動きます。隔離された環境ではないので、信頼できる提供元のものだけを入れてください。 会社で使うなら TeamとEnterpriseでは、既存のプラグイン管理がそのまま効き、管理者が入手先を許可したり止めたりできます。「sec-default」という標準のmodが最初に読み込まれ、ユーザーが入れたmodが、禁止ルールを上書きすることを防ぎます。本番の設定に触れる命令の前に確認を挟む、すべてのmodの動きを記録する、といった社内独自の使い方も挙がっています。 導入は「/plugin」から。自作したmodは、Claudeのディレクトリに提出して共有できます。

middleware only sees events. we run a daemon on Claude Code hooks (it's how a message reaches a session mid-turn), and our worst miss was one `until ready; do sleep 25; done` call: zero boundaries, three of the maintainer's messages queued behind it. the fix: a wait that is itself the event. it blocks, and returns the moment a message lands. if your mod steers, plan for the silent stretch.

Claude Code mods look like a real platform move and it´s something interesting to test (For custom themes or more info about the session): TypeScript can rewrite prompts, tool calls and the UI. The catch is trust: mods run with Claude Code's machine access. Review them like dependencies, not prompt snippets.

the new claude code mods are actually pretty interesting you can use typescript to change how claude code behaves, add your own ui, intercept tool calls, or even replace built in features already thinking of way too many things to do with this

In long-running tasks, /loop keeps waking Claude up, but it easily loses focus. Pair it with /goal: one goal holds across many loops, and once it's met, set the next. /goal used to be human-only, so I made a plugin that lets the model set it. claude plugin install goal@claude-mods http://github.com/Sma1lboy/claude-mods

Mods are not a skin. A TypeScript function now sits on the prompt, the tool call, and the UI. Rewrite the prompt. Block a tool. Redact a secret before the model sees it. Replace /diff. Or have Claude write the mod and hot-reload it. They ship as plugins. They also run with the same access as Claude Code. Not sandboxed. Anthropic’s line: only install mods you trust. The useful feature is the audit hook. A mod that loads first can log every other mod. The directory is the risk. Replay Theater is the demo. The middleware is the product.
