About mods4claude

A free, independent directory of mods for Claude Code: plugins that add panes, bands, status lines, guards, commands and reskins through function hooks.

Where the data comes from

Mods come from the public scan published by awesome-claude-code-mods under CC0-1.0, refreshed daily. Each mod keeps its own license; check the repo before reusing code.
Validation results come from claude plugin validate runs in that scan. They tell you what a mod hooks and calls, not whether it's safe.
Posts are public posts on X that mention Claude Code mods, collected through public search.
Submissions from authors are reviewed by hand and credited to the submitter.
Makers: each mod links to its author's public GitHub profile. Official Anthropic mods and mods by well-known people or organizations are marked with ✦, based only on public profile facts.

Every mod page has an Origin section: how it got here, the exact repository, path and commit we read, the author, the license, and when it was first published and first listed.

Votes

Anyone can upvote or downvote a mod, no account needed. One vote per network; click your vote again to take it back. Votes help rank "Top voted" and "Most popular", and sponsors can't buy them.

Feeds and badges

Follow new mods with the RSS feed. Authors can add a badge to their README from their mod's page.

Right now: 1,836 mods, 1,012 repos, 909 authors, 2,784 posts.

Corrections and removals

If you wrote a mod or a post listed here and want it corrected or removed, email the address in the imprint with the page link. We act on removal requests within a few days.

Staying safe

Mods are not sandboxed. They can read files, run processes and call the network with your permissions. Before installing one, read its code, run claude plugin validate <dir>, and prefer repos you can trust. Admins can restrict mods with allowManagedModsOnly.
