Had Claude read my last 20 Claude Code sessions, find what I keep asking it, and turn the top 5 into mods. Now a line above my prompt says what's waiting on me, and a side pane shows if each repo is pushed, green and deployed. https://github.com/abhibansal60/claude-mods

@lydiahallie a decade ago, after my grandma passed, I started my family tree project, reading hundreds of records myself. it was paused for years because of the scale. now claude can read, corroborate and climb the generations for me. my mod is the árbol guard, keeping the work private. 🤟🏽

claude code mod so you can see what your agent is reading or writing, live 🛰️ https://github.com/hamzafer/claude-code-mods

claude code shipping mods is the same idea as omarchy. start from a really good base, then prompt it into whatever you want i think that's where most software ends up. vertical apps still matter. most people get inspired by a good starting point, and it solves the blank page problem. you just get to bend it until it's yours that's personal software to me. not rebuilding everything from scratch

Claude Code just became hackable. Anthropic introduced “mods”: small TypeScript functions that can change how Claude Code itself works. Here’s the fun part: You don’t even have to write them yourself. Tell Claude: “Create a mod that warns me whenever you’re about to modify more than 5 files.” Or: “Show token usage after every completed task.” You’re no longer just configuring your coding agent. You can modify the tool itself.

Sebastian Bennis@sebastianbennis

@lydiahallie I'd want a mod that flags when the agent weakens a test to make it pass. Show me that diff before celebrating the green tick.

Claude Code is slowly becoming its own developer platform. Plugins + mods + custom UI + custom behavior means you’re not just using Claude Code anymore — you can build your own version of it. 👀

ultimate claude code mod for my brain fried people

The best Claude Code mod tips aren't in the launch demos. They're in the guide Anthropic published alongside them. I read it and the docs. These 10 will save you the most time: 1. Let Claude write the first one. Describe the mod in a session and allow hot reload when it asks. 2. Read the code before you install. Mods aren't sandboxed. They run with your access to files, processes and the network. 3. Run claude plugin validate on a mod first. It lists every event it hooks and every call it makes, without running it. 4. Keep data in $.state. Every hot reload runs register again, so module variables start over. 5. A guard has to return { deny } without calling next(). Call next() and the tool call goes through. 6. Waiting inside a $ call is free. A hook gets 10 seconds of its own time per dispatch, but time spent in $ calls doesn't count. 7. Pass commands to $.process.run as an argv array, not a shell string. 8. When a pane doesn't show up, run claude --debug and look for a drawing that doesn't validate. 9. Test with claude plugin test. Stub what Claude Code would answer, like session.usage, and pin the behaviour. 10. Panes only draw in the terminal and the Desktop app. Hooks still run in claude -p, the Agent SDK, VS Code chat and cloud sessions, but nothing draws. Fall back to a transcript line. You need Claude Code 2.1.287 or later. Guide: http://claude.dev/blog/getting-started-with-claude-code-mods Docs: http://code.claude.com/docs/en/plugins/mods/overview

Claude can now build features for Claude. That loop is pretty wild. 🧵 1/ You describe a missing feature. 2/ Claude writes the modification. 3/ It creates the plugin. 4/ You test it in the session. 5/ You fix anything broken. 6/ You choose temporary or permanent. 7/ You can add a slash command. 8/ You can share the plugin. You do not need to wait for every feature to become official. Save this video, you’ll understand why Claude mods could become a huge power-user feature. Want the SOP? DM me. 💬

@claudeai https://x.com/ClaudeDevs/status/2105721434807083061/video/1

Calling all Bitcoiners 🧡 You can now listen to your podcasts without leaving Claude Code. "Play me something with Lyn Alden about energy" …and Claude puts it on. I built a HodlJuice mod: 31,000+ Bitcoin podcast episodes, a player panel and The Daily Pint. 🎧👇

Claude Code Mods can change your UI, prompts and tools. They also run as you: files, secrets, network access and extra model calls included. Mods aren't sandboxed, even when Bash is. Treat one like code you're installing, not a theme. Requires 2.1.287+.

@lydiahallie Give me a reset and than I can try to build a mod! Any suggestions for a mod that improves the performance from Claude?

Jose Martinez@joseemv88

@lydiahallie Mods its excellent but, what about instructions and projects structure inside claude desktop as I already shared with you guys. Thanks in advance!

SoulClaw@Soulclawco

@trq212 and the most malleable part is the agent's personality. you can rewrite who it is in a text file. that's the real first-class mod.

Big_Josh@gboga_josh

Anthropic just added "mods" to Claude Code 🛠️ They're small JavaScript/TypeScript functions that change how the tool looks and behaves: rewrite prompts, block or modify tool calls, even swap interface parts. You can share them as plugins too. Why I care as a learner: the JS I'm practising right now is the same language used to customise AI coding tools. One caveat, mods run locally with access to your machine, so read before you install. What would you build first? 👇🏾 #100DaysOfCode

Shivamm Dhaka@ShivammDhaka

Yes. 1. Fully integrated pr-reviews no github web app anymore to see diff and write comments and such. Terminal is solid but desktop have some limitations in the mods features. (Already given feedback on the git issue) 2. Post merge pr review learning adoptions 3. What next suggestions.(stole thariq’s idea) 😶‍🌫️ But mods don’t work with projects yet. Had few ideas for that one. 🥲

@lydiahallie I think I'm on my 5th now haha but only published one so far. They are so awesome.

Dusan Odalovic@dusangran

@lydiahallie not yet :) but if i start, probably keep each mod tiny and in git, so when the agent suddenly acts wierd you can switch them off one by one and see which one did it
