/pacman: Pac-Man played over the conversation on screen, eating it character by character while Claude works; Esc puts it back. Needs function hooks (CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_FUNCTION_HOOKS=1).

Routes each turn to the cheapest capable Claude model using Jev, TypeSafe's decision model. Toggle with /route.

Pins the model that background recon subagents run on. An agent.spawn hook sets the Explore subagent's model to haiku, so a session driven by an expensive model stops billing its codebase searches at that tier, without shadowing the built-in agent definition and without the CLAUDE.md load a replacement definition would cost.

The review gate as a tool.check function hook. Every shell call is decided in process, so the non-commit calls -- almost all of them -- cost no subprocess at all, and a blocked commit can be put to you as a question instead of refused outright. The decision itself is still bin/review-gate, run only for a command that mentions a commit, so both routes read the same receipts and cannot disagree.
